We’re now going to discuss how 2022 sci-fi epic , which spanned multiple universes and time periods with ease on a production budget of $25 million, crossed the $100 million global box-office mark. All at Once feels enormous. It spans genres and time periods with ease, while still costing less.
All at Onceis an excellent example of how to impress a crowd without blowing a budget. The video essay below explores the Daniels’ use of “think smarter not harder” methods that helped save money on the production without compromising spectacle. To reduce unnecessary travel, the directors did their best in combining locations and production offices. The directors also reused sets in a variety of ways (some you’ll be able see, others not). Seiple (the DoP) also used specific lenses and ratios in order to communicate the visual language of the different universes. The fact that the VFX crew of this movie was only seven people who were self-taught is mind-boggling.
