Jeremy Renner, who was run over by his snowplow three months ago, was rushed into the hospital with a critical condition. While the Avengers star continues to recover, he also took the time to thank his MCU costar and fellow hero friend Robert Downey Jr. who recently celebrated his 58th birthday. His birthday message reminded us, however, that he had suffered major injuries in the past.
Jeremy Renner posted a throwback picture of him and RDJ in suits on his Twitter Stories to wish a Happy Birthday to “his dear friend”. However, Renner was walking with crutches in the picture. Check it out!
This old photo of Jeremy Renner must seem like a stroll in the park after the Hawkeye star recently suffered serious injuries, including eight broken ribs and injuries to his right leg, right ankle, the left leg, the left ankle, the right clavicle and the right shoulder, during the snow plow accident on January 1.
What exactly is happening in this photo? Back when he was filming the first Avengers movie in 2011, the actor actually ripped a muscle from his back to shoulder that led the Marvel movie to shut down filming for a couple of weeks, Renner’s crutches are likely the reason he is on crutches.
However, Renner also fractured his right elbow and left wrist while filming the based-on-a-true-story comedy Tag in 2017 as well. Renner has suffered a number of injuries throughout his career, but the most recent one is by far the worst.
Jeremy Renner gave his first interview with Diane Sawyer since the incident on ABC News, where he revealed that he remembered “all” of the accident and its aftermath. Renner said to Sawyer that, considering the amount of bodily harm he has suffered at one time, he chose to survive. Renner kept the public informed about his recovery throughout the entire experience. He even announced that the snowplow that injured Renner would be retained.
Robert Downey Jr. had a great birthday, with his family and friends, while receiving messages of congratulations from Renner as well as many other Marvel actors. RDJ shared this video on and Instagram, which shows him blowing out his candles. He also shared photos and videos from the last year.
Downey Renner and Hawkeye have been close friends for many years, and this is evident by the fact that Hawkeye took time from his recuperation to post a message on social media wishing Renner a good day.
