Since the death of Jason David Frank was announced on November 20 , Power Rangers fans have mourned the loss. Tammie Frank has now revealed the details of what took place on the night that he passed away.
She told People, “My husband’s name was Jason David Frank. He tragically died by suicide last week.” While Jason may have been a household name for some, our life was just as normal, with its ups and lows.
Frank stated that her husband was struggling with mental issues, but she did not know he had considered suicide.
She said, “I loved him and we tried to solve our problems together.” His death is as shocking to me as it is for anyone else. Truthfully, I didn’t know that Jason had been thinking about ending his life. He had suffered from mental illness and depression in the past, but I couldn’t predict what happened that night. Instead of a relaxing weekend, the love I had lost was tragically taken from me. Jason was good, but not without demons. “He was a human being, like all of us.”
Frank acknowledged that her and Frank’s relationship had suffered since last year, when their daughter Shayla died.
My daughter Shayla who Jason raised as his own and whom I helped raise a year ago suddenly died. She said that Jason was the one who found her and it wrecked the family’s emotional state. Jason and I began to have marital problems between losing her and raising her son. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a child will understand what a significant change it can make in your relationship.

She said that they had separated because “they didn’t know what to do.” After further thought, the couple decided to get back together, planning a weekend getaway that would include a country dance event.
Frank, a PEOPLE reporter said: “We danced at the party and stayed until the bar was closed.” When we returned to the hotel I had a very emotional and heartfelt talk with Jason in his bedroom. In order to help Jason calm down and relax before he went to bed, I took him downstairs to the lobby to pick up some snacks. It was only 10 minutes that I had been away. The door was still closed when I returned upstairs. “I knocked on the door repeatedly, calling his name and asking him to come open it.”
She added, “I’m not sure if it was the staff at the hotel or one of the guests who called the cops, but they opened the door after taking me downstairs and discovered that Jason had killed himself. The ‘disturbances,’ as they are called online, were these.
Frank concluded: “We just want to move past the grief of losing someone we love and remember Jason. In this time of sorrow, I ask only for your sympathy and understanding. “To all of the supporters and fans of Jason, our family and friends: thank you so much for your good wishes. God bless all.”
