EW confirmed that a woman was arrested for breaking in and burglarizing the temporary rental house occupied by actor Robert De Niro.
Police tell EW that Shannon Aviles (30) was spotted entering De Niro’s home in the area of 65th Street, between Lexington Ave and Park Ave, at around 2:45 am on Monday. Aviles’ previous arrests for burglary were known by the New York Police Department. The NYPD Public Safety Team arrested her.
When contacted by EW, De Niro’s representatives had nothing to say.
De Niro, a two-time Oscar nominee, is among the most well-known American actors. De Niro’s most recent performance in a film was David O. Russell Amsterdam in which he played a role based on the real-life General Smedley Butler.
